Tyssedal Sauna is a pop-up sauna located at Tyssedal Harbor. This is an old industrial harbor, which currently is home to the Hydro Power Museum and the local fishing club. While your sauna session is private, for only yourself and your group, the docks are a public space. So please enjoy the sauna and the fjord, but remain respectful of others while there.

Tyssedal Sauna is located on the public dock in Tyssedal, upon the permanent dock, not the floating dock. This is a public space, but your sauna session is private - just for yourself and your group.
Upon arrival at the sauna, it will be warmed up and ready. However, the sauna is self-operated. You will get a code in your booking confirmation email with instructions on how to unlock the sauna. When you depart after your session, please remember to lock it again.
Public parking is available in front of the Hydro Power museum.
Towels are not provided, so we ask that you bring your own towels to sit upon and for swimming.
There is a ladder to the right of the sauna that offers access to the fjord. We do not recommend jumping directly from the docks until you have tested the water, as the water level changes with the tide.
There is a small changing area within the sauna, but please note we ask guests to wear swimsuits during the session. This is not a full changing room with showers, but a room to dress/undress before your session.
We provide watershoes (crocs) but you are welcome to wear your own watershoes. We highly suggest to wear watershoes if you swim, as the ladder is made of metal.
We suggest you bring 1 L of water to drink during the sauna session. We understand if you get hungry or thirsty during the sauna, but we ask that any food and beverages except water be consumed outside the sauna.
If you wish to drink alcohol, please drink responsibly. The sea level varies with the tide and we want you to be safe on the docks and not fall off!
Please remember to pack out any trash you may have at the end of your session.
There is a restroom located in the red building across from the sauna. The third door from the right is the restroom. A key to the restroom is located in the small changing room.
